Bocce Club Holiday Party Held at Post 283
Saturday marked a great milestone for Post 283, as it was the venue for the Pacific Palisades Bocce Club’s holiday party. This party eclipsed the Nov. 18 Evening of Honor event in the number of attendees and introduced our post to even more community members.
We are excited about the continued opportunity to bring awareness to the Post’s participation in our community in building Americanism, Supporting Children and Youth and our Veterans.
What a month November was! The highlight for the post was clearly the historic Evening of Honor. Beyond the incredible assembly and presentation of five real American heroes, the event was also historic in that it was the largest sit-down event since the post re-opened after renovations. Many kudos to the staff and leadership for outstanding efforts in making the event a massive success.
A large part of my role this year has been in growing public awareness of our post. To that end, we invited elected officials, community leaders and press to experience and spread the word.
