Join us for our regular firearms safety clinics and informal shooting competitions. Get certified to safely handle a firearm and join our shooting team. Safety is paramount to American Legion Palisades Post 283, so there will always be range officers on hand during training. Ammunition and range time is free for veterans and active duty.

Tom Doran is our NRA chief range officer.
James McLanahan, special forces weapons and tactics instructor, will be leading the basic and advanced weapons courses. Additionally, we plan to bring in guest instructors.
Kawa Mawlayee spent 21 years in U.S. Special Operations. He works in the film industry, where his expertise as a consultant has significantly shaped military portrayals.
