Grant Opportunities with Palisades Post 283
Welcome to the Ronald Reagan-Palisades Post 283 Grant Information page. Our Post is committed to supporting initiatives that align with our mission and the Four Pillars of the American Legion: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth.
Please review the information below to learn more about our grant process, eligibility requirements, and application timeline.
Eligibility Criteria
Sponsorship Requirement: All grant applications must be sponsored by a current member of Post 283 in good standing. Sponsors may be asked to discuss the program and its alignment with our mission, which means they should be familiar with it and agree to endorsing the grant request.
Focus on Veterans and Military Communities: Grants are reserved for individuals and organizations with a direct tie to the military and veteran communities. Priority is given to applicants based in the Los Angeles area, though requests from outside California are usually not considered.
Letter of Intent (LOI): A Letter of Intent is required for all grant requests. Full grant applications are by invitation only and will only be extended after an LOI is reviewed and approved during our grant periods.
Previous Grants: Grant awards are not guaranteed and are not contingent upon receiving funding from Post 283 in the past.
