Veterans Receive Resources, Support, and Smiles at 2025 NDVets Resource Fair

Veterans gathered at the New Directions for Veterans campus on the VA West Los Angeles Medical Center for the 2025 NDVets Veterans Resource Fair on Tuesday. Organized by the Disabled Veterans National Foundation (DVNF) in partnership with LA City Councilmember Traci Park and New Directions for Veterans, the fair provided vital support services and a sense of camaraderie to those who served.

Held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., the event featured health and hygiene kits, swag bags, grocery gift cards, and live entertainment. American Legion Palisades Post 283 and its Auxiliary were out in full force, managing a distribution center booth that provided toiletries, clothing, and vital resources to attending veterans. Post 283 stood up a distribution center in Culver City shortly after the devastating Southern California wildfires in January.

The event attendees’ dedication was matched with energetic support from surprise guests — the LA Rams Cheerleaders — who brought smiles, spirit and a patriotic flair to the day.

Community partners PATH, Meals on Wheels, the VA Greater Los Angeles, LA Care, Wells Fargo, and Chrysalis joined forces to provide holistic support, from housing navigation to health plan information.
