American Legion Auxiliary Unit 283 placed flags at the Village Green on Sept. 8 in memory of those who died in the terrorist attacks on 9/11. In attendance were seven members of Unit 283, one member
of the Sons of the American Legion (SALs), and one prospective member of the Auxiliary, who proudly and humbly put hundreds of flags on the Village Green. The Auxiliary members were Deloris Artis, Gina Jakel, Fran, Aponte, Terri, Webb, Cindy, Doran, Sue, Pascoe, and Ruth Kahn. The SALs member was Jeremy Wells. The prospective Auxiliary member was Eileen Carry (not pictured).
